If you want to use 2 monitors, good luck with that. If you want to use your other thunderbolt/USB C ports when using an eGPU in Windows, forget it. Be warned, Apple have basically abandoned proper support for Boot Camp/Windows. I have a Vega 64 and a Razer Core X enclosure. I found a leidian on aliexpress that looks promising but im not sure. does the razer core x support the pcie to m.2? Would this solution have worked with just the razer core x/v1 m.2 standalone? IDK and i'm lazy to run tests.Īlso rumor has it intel is stopping manufacture/OEM from creating more storage thunderbolt enclosures. I had my razer core x plugged in.įurther tests.
I was able to get the IO working, usb ports (hotswapping things crashed my system). Unless I did something wrong, m.2 over pcie is not supported on the razer core v1.
I had a razer core v1 laying around in addition to the razer core x housing my egpu. I already purchased a m.2 to pcie adapater and a 970 pro m.2 512gb. I would not add something like a m.2 over pcie enclosure (see akitio node nvme) on the same controller port pair as it would slow down? I'll test this soon and confirm, just trying to win a ebay bid on an enclosure. So adding a hub should be ok for inputs and such. I believe that the graphics card uses the full capacity of the controller however that may be.
